Enemy Chocolatier (June 2006)
Enemy Chocolatier
is a full-color envelope game, cheap at just $6.00. It's a
cute little strategy board game about conquering neighborhoods,
creating new confections, and becoming the best candy man
since forever. James is responsible for the boards, but the
great Liberace-cum-Candy man cover art is by Cheyenne Wright
(Freeloader,
James Ernest's Totally
Renamed Spy Game).
New Expansion: Ambivalence Pack! (January 2006)
Can't decide whether to kill Doctor Lucky or save him? Now
you can put that choice off until your friends arrive with
this unique expansion for both games. The Doctor
Lucky Ambivalence Pack contains a new board for Kill
Doctor Lucky, set aboard a non-sinking ocean liner, and
a new board for Save
Doctor Lucky, set inside a burning hotel. You will need
the decks and rules for the original games in order to play
with the expansion boards, but since they're our best-selling
board games, we assume you already do!
Spree is in the Air! (November 2005)
If you've been awaiting the new "Classic" edition
of Spree, it's here!
Just in time for the holidays, a festive red-and-white board
and classic Phil Foglio art make this the best edition of
Spree ever, and it's still as cheap as can be at just $3.50.
Sure, you have to track down some dice, some pawns, and two
old decks of cards, but you still won't find cheaper fun this
side of anywhere. (Subscribers: this is technically a reprint,
so you won't be auto-shipped. If you want it, just let John
know!)
Avast! Captain Treasure Boots is Here! (October 2005)
The golden age of Cheapass Games meets the golden age of Piracy
in this traditional envelope-style game about pirates, treasure,
and booty. Or rather, boots. Join Captain
Treasure Boots and his gang of adventurers as they sail
the seas in search of treasure and glory. It's decidedly cheap
at just $3.50, and contains four full-color boards that can
be arranged in dozens of different ways. And, as if that wasn't
enough, you can also get a specially labeled "Captain
Treasure Bits" package for another $4.50, containing
all the bits and pieces you need to play the game.
Three New Punch Cards (September 2005)
To fill the extra space on the Captain Treasure Boots press
sheet, we printed three new Punch
Cards with colored art from the Great
Brain Robbery. You'll probably find one of them free in
your next order, but if you really must have a complete set,
you can order them for just a dollar. Punch Cards is a tiny
little game that plays with just two cards: collect the Wasted
Lands and Spy
Game sets, too!
Finally, A Book About Poker! (August 2005)
James Ernest has teamed up with noted poker players Phil Foglio
and Mike Selinker to create Dealer's Choice: the Complete
Handbook of Saturday Night Poker. It's a compendium of more
than 200 different poker variations, ranging from the traditional
to the absurd, plus the basics of the game and hints for running
your own poker night. Dealer's Choice is published by Overlook
Press and available in all major booksellers (no kidding!)
and thanks to an unexpectedly difficult symphony of hair-pulling
we can also sell it right here. Subscribers: If you
wish to receive a copy, please e-mail or call John.
Enter the Dragons! (August 2005)
Diceland players, rejoice again. Diceland:
Dragons is here! Dragons is a 12-die expansion for Diceland
featuring dragons, dragon riders, and other odd folks from
a magical fantasy world of fantasy, magic, and, you know,
dragons. This set contains four 3-die armies and rules for
up to 4 players. You'll need the basic rules, found in any
Diceland boxed set or downloaded free from www.diceland.com.
Penny Arcade Promo Die (August 2005)
As if that wasn't enough Diceland, we're also pleased to offer,
for a limited time, the Penny Arcade
promo die. This die is free with any Diceland purchase,
while supplies last. It features four characters from the
Penny Arcade comic, with powerful moves like Xtreme Violence,
a Double Command All, and Hammer: 4 (you'll have to get the
die to figure out what that is). It's a limited edition freebie
and it's goin' fast.
Secret Tijuana
Deathmatch (July 2005)
You and your associates are unscrupulous wrestling promoters,
cajoling bankrupt and suicidal American businessmen into secret
Tijuana deathmatches, for money, fame, and glory. Actually,
it usually leads to an untimely death, rather than those other
things. But hey, "Mexican Wrestling" is just another
word for "nothing left to lose." Enjoy this game
while you can: because it uses recycled counters from another
company's game, we can't ever make more than the first print
run. Wow! It's already collectible!
Diceland: Cyburg
(July 2005)
The first of two summer Diceland expansions, Cyburg introduces
two teams of fighters battling over control of Cyberspace.
Specifically, a game world-cum-alternate universe where innocent
citizens dwell in fear, despite the inescapable fact that
they don't have to dwell there at all. Cyburg contains 12
dice illustrated by Eduardo Müller and introduces new
abilities like Double Shot and Clone. Also, check out our
new Diceland Mini
Box: it's perfect for holding just 15 dice, and it's so
awesome it makes us wonder why we haven't sold boxes this
size before.
